Why do we charge when others do it for free?

Look it’s as simple as this

Why are others offering you it for free? It’s in the hope that when they get there they can sell you their services. If you don’t buy something they have lost out.

Their time is not free their fuel is certainly not free it’s not in anyone’s interest to do anything for free and walk away with nothing at the end of it.

That’s ok you may think – you are strong willed and won’t be talked in to anything – you will take the free advice and then say cheerio.

That’s great but are you getting the right advice – remember the locksmith that is in attendance has to cover his costs and if he is running around all day giving out free advice it won’t by the baby a new coat!

You run the risk of being mis-sold something.

From our experience this is the tactic of National companies portraying to be local or fresh start-ups trying to generate business for them selves

We don’t do gimmicks like this we don’t have to.

If we have been called to your property and you have adequate enough security that meets your insurance requirements. We will advise you of this if you don’t need anything you don’t need anything. Of course there is always something bigger and better coming out on the market and we are totally up-to-date with all new products. But do you need it? If you have a problem and are persistently a victim of crime, sure we can offer you the solution to make you secure.

But we are under no pressure to sell you something to recoup our running costs of giving you a security check. Because we have covered our costs with the £25.00 fee

And for this you will get a totally honest report on our recommendations should you need any and from this you make your choice to go with our recommendations or not. It’s totally your call.

You are free to go with any one you choose and buy your own locks from B&Q if you so wish and fit them yourself we will tell you what you need and the best lock to go with for your budget.

Or you can buy the locks from us and fit them yourself.

Obviously if we do the work we will waive the £25.00 fee (it will come off your bill)

It also goes without saying if we do a security check and we suggest that all you need is a £12.00 door chain we are not going to charge an hour’s labour rate to fit it.

That would be totally wrong and un-ethical

A security check is exactly that

We have no interest in getting our foot in your door and sitting at your table, and giving you the hard sell.

To be frank we couldn’t think of anything worse!

We are tradesman not sales man

We will advise you of what you need

And for that we charge £25.00

This is refundable if we do the install (obviously)
